Thanksgiving Day

Thanksgiving Day in America is a time to offer thanks, of family gatherings and holiday meals. In the fast Thanksgiving Day, it is said that many foods were cooked for the feast – wild turkey, duck, and venison were probably served, along with fish, pumpkins, squash, corn, sweet potatoes, and cranberries.

The most famous 3 meals are turkeys, cranberry source and pumpkin pie!!

I researched about recipes of Thanksgiving meals, so I’d like to introduce effortless cranberry source recipe here.

You can make it for only 45 minutes. You need package cranberries (12 ounces), 1/2 cup of white sugar, 1/2 cup of brown sugar and 1/4 cups of water. First, wash cranberries under cool, running water. Get rid of soft or bad berries. Then, in a sauce pan, over medium high heat, combine cranberries, water, white sugar and brown sugar. Bring mixture to a boil, stirring occasionally. Remove cover and boil an additional 5 minutes. Finally, refrigerate a minimum of 2 hours. Serve with turkey or as a side dish.

Movie

I’d like to introduce you my favorite movie “Sex and the City”.
This is American serial drama. I have never seen drama, but I watched this movie’s advertisement and I thought I wanted to watch it. I watched the movie with my friends. It was very good and more interesting than what I had expected.

The main characters are Carrie, Miranda, Charlotte and Samantha. Each characters are various and individual. You can check their characters in the movie’s site.

I was impressed by their friendship. I feel that friends are like treasures and most important things in my life, so I try to cherish my friends.

I can still remember one shocking scene in this movie.
Carrie met a nice man, Mr. Big and they decided to marry. In the old days Mr. Big failed to marry. He was very anxious about marriage with Carrie in just before wedding, so he tried to talk to her about his mind. At that time Carrie lost her cellular phone and they couldn’t contact…Mr. Big thought that he couldn’t go to ceremony hall and he returned home. Carrie waited him but she knew his action…so she left ceremony hall with Miranda, Charlotte and Samantha. On the way to return, Mr. Big changed his mind and went to ceremony hall again. Mr. Big’s car and Carrie’s car passed on the street, so they stopped and approached. Mr. Big said sorry and regretted, but Carrie was deeply hurt and she threw him wedding bouquet. All flowers fell in the street and fluttered around Carrie and Mr. Big…
This is the most favorite sad scene. When I watched this scene, I felt like crying. I could understand Carrie’s heart.

Finally they became happy and the movie ended happy ending. I learnt different view of love. I try to refer what I get in this movie. There are funny scene and sad scene, you will be able to enjoy watching this movie.

Summer Vacation

I went to Miyoshi driving school from the beginning of vacation to the end of August. So I had a lot of time in driving school. First I was afraid of driving car by myself. I thought I couldn’t drive. But my thought changed soon!! Characters of all teachers were very good and they often told funny jokes and things, so I had good time and I liked to go to driving school. I passed all tests on the first try. I got my driver’s license. After I graduated from driving school, I felt sad because I didn’t go there yet.

I bought my motor bicycle soon in September and I often ride on it to go to workplace. I am very happy that it doesn’t take time. Before I bought it, I went there by bicycle….it is a great convenience to have a motor bicycle!! But I still go to only neighboring area by motor bicycle, so I will try to go far away.

First I drove car with my mother. My mother was unwilling to my driving. After driving, my mother looked tired…in spite of only ten minutes driving. Then I drove with my friend at night. It was first time that I drove car at night, so I forgot to turn on light at first. It was dangerous…I drove for two hours. I was very tired but it was very nice.

I want my car very much, but I don’t have car yet because I don’t have much money now and we can’t go to school by our own cars…I ride on my mother’s car. But I don’t like her car type. This shape is round. My favorite car shape is square!! I already decide to buy “bB”. "bB" is Toyota’s car and it has a lot of speakers. I like to listen to music, so I want to drive during playing my favorite music.

In this year’s summer vacation, I could experience great new things. I felt it was so fast to be over vacation. I’m looking forward to come winter and spring vacation!!
